2019 BNE National Table Tennis Championships
November 30, 2019 - Belize Elementary School Auditorium

The 2019 BNE national Table Tennis Championships concluded on Saturday November 30, 2019 at the Belize Elementary School Auditorium.

Competition was held in four categories. Men Singles, Ladies Singles, Mixed Doubles, and Mens Doubles, with a total of some 30 players competed for the top spots in all categories.

The event started on Saturday at approximately 1:30PM with the Knockout competitions in all categories, and concluded at around 5:30PM.

The results were as follows:

Trophies were awarded to all the top finishers on behalf of the sponsor Belize Natural Energy Ltd. (BNE), who have been supporting this event since 2010, giving them a spot as one of the longest sponsors of BTTA events.

2019 Brodies Strong & Weak Double Tournament

The Belize Elementary School auditorium was the stage for the 2019 Brodies Strong & Weak Double Tournament this Saturday, August 31, 2019.

The competition started with 13 doubles pairs competing in a Double Elimination format, in which each pair was comprised of a "strong & weak" player. The top 20 ranked players were not allowed to make a pair, and therefore had to select a player from the 21 ranking position, and below, making for a very evenly matched competition.

Mihir Karnani & Parin Thadani made it to the final 4 positions, undefeated, and were joined by Jofny Paguaga & Julian Aldana who also made it to the finals. 

Yasser Musa & Jaylen Nicholson also made it to the final 4 along with Taye Parkinson & Joseph Lambey.

With the final 4 doubles partners now in the final round, Karnani & Thadani defeated Paguaga & Aldana to take the Championship spot. They remained undefeated in the tournament.

Musa & Nicholson secured 3rd place, while Parkinson & Lambey settled for 4th place.

3rd - Yasser Musa & Jaylen Nicholson
4th - Taye Parkinson & Joseph

2019 Barrow & Williams Summer OPEN Concludes 

The 2019 Barrow & Williams Summer OPEN Tournament took place this Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the BES Auditorium.

The event featured a Double Elimination competition Format where players would need to lose 2 matches before being eliminated from the event. 28 players signed up for the event, including all the top seed players.

Starting at 2:00PM, the first round of the elimination format saw top seed players, Devesh Hukmani, Terry Su, Rohit Pagarani, and Taye Parkinson advancing to the final rounds. Jofney Paguaga played a very good match and managed to eliminate Rohit Pagarani, putting him in the top 4 positions for the finals. He continued with his game and also eliminated top seed Taye Parkinson, where he eventually lost to Hukmani.

With everyone now eliminated from the competition, Devesh Hukmani and Terry Su were left to battle for the top spot, where Hukmani was able to come back from a 1-0 lost and take the championship from Terry by winning the next two matches.

The final results were as follows:
1st - Devesh Hukmani
2nd - Terry Su
3rd - Jofny Paguaga
4th - Taye Parkinson

The event concluded at 6:30PM where trophies were awarded to the top 4 finishers.

The Belize Table Tennis Association (BTTA) is please to announce the addition of a new member to its table tennis Family


Mrs. Priya Pagarani - Executive Committee Member

Mrs. Pagarani joins the BTTA Executive Committee in 2019 as a Committee Member. Her involvement in table tennis goes a few years where she has always remained committed to the development of the sport. She is also a mother to one of the top junior players, Rohit Pagarani.

Priya becomes a member of the Executive Committee, and as such, plays a key roll in the management of the BTTA.


11th Annual General Meeting - May 4, 2019 

11th Annual General Meeting of the Belize Table Tennis Association took place on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the BES Auditorium.

The Welcome address by the President was followed by the Directors Report, and the Financial Report.. 

The meeting concluded at 2:00PM
